This information site is written to assist prospective new owners, current owners, and owners who wish to buy or sell, and it comes from the knowledge I have gained by selling this vacation concept for over 10 years. My wife and I are now enjoying the benefits of the two deeded weeks we own. We believe the product has value, especially when purchased on the re-sale market. Although, not for everyone, it can meet the needs of many families today who want to find a way to access timeshare facilities at affordable prices.

Time Share resorts have been around long enough for everyone to have heard of them, and, most likely, you have even gone to one or two presentations. Consequently, it’s not necessary to explain the history of the industry.

If you are considering time share as a vacation program for your family,Breezy Point Resort at Breezy Point, Minnesota, and "The Village at Izaty’s" on Lake Mille Lacs in northern Minnesota are both excellent Time Share Resorts. Unlike most timeshare salespeople I actually owned what I was selling. Generally, most timeshare salespeople do not own timeshare, particularly if the salesperson is younger. They themselves cannot afford it.

Having retired in 2003, I am no longer selling vacation ownership, but rather enjoy the benefits of owning two weeks. One week is at the resort from which I worked for seven years, and the other week was purchased over the internet at an out-of-state resort at a substantial savings.

While enjoying exchange vacations, my wife and I have attended presentations to “get a taste of” how sales people at other resorts treat prospective customers. During various presentations, we have been both impressed and offended. Admittedly, there are levels of sales personnel from excellent to poor.

A particular pattern is followed during the presentation. The prospective customer must have the ability to say, “No.” However, when treated well by the salesperson, it is easy to nod your head and say, “Yes.” Does this sound familiar to you?

Contrary to what a person may think about prices, I see new resorts getting more and more money for their units. High demand weeks are easily sold for $25,000 and more in the high tourist areas of the country. Although the value may, in fact, be there, there are other ways to purchase the same week for a lot less money by using the ease of the internet.

In this site, we are going to explore everything from receiving an invitation to a resort, to the sales people and their training and your continued contact with them, to developer costs. Finally, if Time Share is for you, I’ll show you how to obtain your week or weeks of Time Share by using other avenues, and for much less money invested.
