Quadna Resort, Hill City, MN

Since my wife and I live only about 140 miles west of this Hill City, Minnesota, timeshare resort, listed in the Interval International directory, we decided to stop by the resort in June 2007 while in that area.

We definitely would have been disappointed had we exchanged our 5 Star resort for this non-rated timeshare resort. How it even qualified to be in the Interval International system is beyond us.

It definitely would have been a consideration for a summer vacation had we exchanged for it without first visiting it. The area is beautiful, the lake is nice, but going there for those reasons would have been a stretch. We don't golf, but we do have a Burgman 400 scooter, and it would have been a base from which to travel and sightsee.

The resort is located about 90 miles north of Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota on Hwy #169, 80 miles west of Duluth, Minnesota, 160 miles east of Fargo, ND and about 30 miles South of Grand Rapids, MN.

The resort has a 9-hole golf course, a miniature golf course for the kids, walking trails, and a smaller lake. Nothing much else. The main building used to have an indoor pool, but that no longer exists . When we stopped at the resort during the summer, there were not a lot of cars at the main building. Did that already send a message? The resort used to have an outdoor pool, but that was no longer there, either. Hmmmm!

If you like golfing, it has a fine 9-hole golf course; if you like a place that is quiet with not much activity close by, then this might be for you. However, it didn't strike us as a place into which we would have exchanged.

After seeing this resort, it reaffirmed our decision to always own and trade into a timeshare at a 5 star rated resort.
