Thanks for your comments about Sedona Pines! by: Cary & Elaine Johnson
In this day and age there is no reason for this type of treatment. Timeshare has been around for a long time and most people have been to a presentation or two.
When I sold timeshare I knew that 99% of the people coming t the resort did not expect to buy. The resort has to sell3, itself on its own merits. I didn't see any reason for any salesman to pressure anyone into buying. The only reason to be rude by any salesman is when a customer is rude. I have run across a few of them but I just sent them packing by being as polite as I could. I just wanted to get to someone who had some interest in the resort where I worked.
We weren't treated that badly at Sedona Pines but they did go thru the motions of bringing in two managers.
We informed the salesperson during our presentation that we had two weeks and purchased one of the weeks over the Internet for $3,000 and that was a prime summer red week in the Ozarks and it went over her head. She did not even listen to the fact that a person can now purchase cheaper on the Internet some great timeshare deals.
We thought the prices were outrageous for a trailer. We also do not like points. Points are not inflation proof. They can ask more and more points each year for trading where once you have paid for your deeded week that's it other than yearly maintenance.
