So, we look forward to staying in nice accomodations once or twice each year, and major brand hotels and motels are expensive. The weeks we own are for 2 bedroom units which sleep 6-8 people.Here are the 12 major timeshare benefits to our family. 1. Deeded Real Estate can be sold and transferred like any other real estate property. 2. Owning at 5 star resorts in the Interval International system trades for 5 star resort locations elsewhere. 3. Another one of the timeshare benefits is that we look forward to our guaranteed vacations by searching and booking many months in advance. This also helps our relatives when they're making plans to visit or join us at a resort. 4. We use our weeks mainly to trade to other locations which are usually in the United States. 5. We have never been disappointed when trading to another 5 star resort. 6. One of the greatest timeshare benefits has been when we have had several weeks of great family vacations with our children and our grandchildren with excellent accommodations. At one exchange, Cause Way On Gull, located in Minnesota north of Brainerd, at Christmas, we prepared for and served 22 people a Christmas dinner right in our own unit.The afternoon was then spent laughing and playing in the large indoor pool and hot tub at the resort. 7. When we were attempting to list our own benefits of time share, we realized we have exchanged to historic vacation locations to which we would never have dreamed of having been able to afford. 8. Different seasons in various locations are more of the benefits of time share. 9. Although we have a deeded week at TreeTop Village Lake of the Ozarks, we have stayed there only once. The local Chamber of Commerce has great information for this area. There is a tremendous demand for our summer week at TreeTop Village by other time share owners. Additional benefits of time share are that we gain bonus weeks through Interval International by relinquishing our high demand weeks, making them available to other time share owners. For the past 7 years we have traded our Lake of the Ozark week for other locations. 10. When our children and their families have not been able to vacation with us, we have invited friends to be with us. What a joy to be able to provide accommodations and have others join us at no cost to them. 11. If we choose to not use one of our weeks during the year,we can add that week to a future vacation and have an extended time at one resort. 12. Most all time share resorts now have Internet Access, so we are able to stay in touch as if we were at home. All of our grown family members have Internet related work and are able to do some work while vacationing with Mom & Dad. Note: We feel the benefits of time share far outweigh the uncertainty of hotel and motel rental cost particularly if you purchase on the time share RESALE market.
